'Business Opportunities In Malaysia' Seminar
On Monday 6th March 2006 a seminar was held on 'Business Opportunities In Malaysia' at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Birmingham. The seminar was part of a business delegation visit to the UK led by the Hon. Rafidah Aziz, Minister of International Trade and Industry of Malaysia (MITI) and accompanied by leading businessmen & government officials from Malaysia.
The seminar was very successful with over 200 companies in attendence for the morning programme and many staying for the afternoon individual business meetings with the seminar participants and the Malaysian delegation.
The seminar was opened by the Chairman, Mr Peter M. Matthews, President, of the Midlands World Trade Forum and the keynote address was given by The Hon. Rafidah Aziz, who was very well received and kept the audiences attention throughout with her witty and very informative presentation. The guest speaker was The Rt. Hon. Sir Richard Needham, International and Commercial Director, Dyson Ltd.
TARRC staff were present to represent the Malaysian rubber product manufacturers and have meetings with any of the companies interested in the Malaysian rubber industry.
