Dr Andy Chapman gives paper at 24th International H.F. Mark Symposium in Vienna
TARRC's Head of the Advanced Materials and Product Development Unit, Dr. Andy Chapman gave the opening presentation at the 24th International H.F. Mark Symposium in Vienna, entitled “Natural rubber and NR-based polymers: renewable materials with unique properties”.
The presentation reviewed the green credentials of NR and NR-based polymers and surveyed the properties and applications of NR, epoxidised natural rubber (ENR) and thermoplastic elastomers based on NR and ENR, focusing on recent work at TARRC on silica reinforcement of ENR for tyre tread applications.
