Symposium at 178th ACS Rubber Division Technical Meeting in Milwaukee, WI, USA |
|
This event is a continuation of the symposium on Engineering Design of Rubber Components, which has been running for several years biannually, most recently organized by Allan Zhong and Hamid Ahmadi for the ACS Rubber division meeting at Louisville, October 2008. The past symposiums were very well received by the rubber material and mechanics community from US and Europe. The symposium will emphasize engineering with elastomers from a mechanics viewpoint. New approaches on modeling constitutive behavior of rubbers, life prediction, aging, applications under seve re or unusual service conditions, friction, wear, environmentally induced degradation, elastomeric composites, simulation and testing of elastomeric components are pertinent.
